Public School Hyderabad managed by Sukkur IBA University organized a ceremony on Friday, October 02, 2020. A tribute was paid to the late Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddqui, founding Vice Chancellor, Sukkur IBA University.
Addressing the event on Friday, Prof. Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah, Vice Chancellor, Sukkur IBA University said that I feel honored to carry forward the legacy of the founding Vice chancellor, late Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, who will be remembered as a revolutionary educationist for his contribution in the restructuring and revival of the higher education system in Sindh. The establishment of Sukkur IBA University has provided underprivileged students access to quality education, he added.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah distributed final compensation cheques among the retired employees of Public School Hyderabad who retired from their service during the period from 2016 to 2020.
The cheques of stipend and stationary were also distributed among the students availing Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) scholarship at Public School Hyderabad.
Commissioner Hyderabad Division, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Baloch said that Late Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui established Sukkur IBA University through his persistent efforts and later elevated that institute to the level of a university.
The DIG Hyderabad Naeem Ahmed Shaikh said that Mr. Siddiqui was a role model and that he would always remain alive in their hearts. “We all are indebted to him due to his services for education in the country,” he added.
Senator Mr. Aijaz Dhamrah, Vice Chancellor Government College University Hyderabad Dr. Nasiruddin Siddiqui and other officials also expressed their views on the occasion.
